Not to be a jerk, but that came out about 2 years ago...

Russell Simmons and Bill Adler had a lot to do with the production of that joint so, as you would expect, there's a little too much time focused on Def Jam's artists and history.

Still a good way to spend a day, though!

Yeah, the old school/1st episode was by the far the best of the series...
Even though they did devote a little bit too much time to Sugarhill Gang.

I remember seing those shows...I think.. Were they like back in the day, bring the noise, etc.? Speaking of Sugar Hill, was this the show that featured Sylvia Robinson (the founder of Sugar Hill)?-Old school RNB bonus points-Name her biggest hit as a singer..But I digress..

Anyway, is this the show where she went into a pizza joint, and big bank hank, who worked there, was jamming some Cold Crush Brothers (he 'managed 'them at the time) and was spittin' Grandmaster Caz's lines, and they went outside, and then, WonderMike, who didn't even KNOW hank, happened to be passing by, and jumped into the cypher, and the rest was history?

Yo, let's see if we can build up some kinda knowledge base of interesting old school tidbits; For instance, has anybody ever seen RUN-DMC and Kool Moe DEE/Special K battle? Well, they did (it was fake) It was on this show that only came on once-Graffiti Rock! Check out the DVD, it has all kinda cool stuff, including some "basement party footage"-A must have for ol'  schoolers...

Wanna know the inside scoop on ol' school battles? check out "war on wax"

And last, but not least, my FAVORITE ol'school DVD-THE FRESHEST KIDS!!!!!!-B-boying footage, historical commentary-JUST PLAIN OLD FRESH!!!! also, theres a video of grandmaster Caz ripping over a modified rappers delight beat-Dope!
