Ok, since the Rookie wants to see a Battle, Give me your best mixtape line up. So we can show the Rookie(ALgoflash) How we get down.. I want All oldschool so don't be givin me this new stuff mixed in.. Let see who has the hottest flow on the mix joints.. Just give me your best 10. UnEq, S.O.S, Smoov, I'm callin you guys out.. Blame the youngin. But I want to give these newbies a taste of how we flow..


Just give me 10 cuts that you would mix up on a mixtape..in order..Aight.. Let's get it goin!

Well, for starters...
I would kick things off with a little 'Synthetic Substitution' from Melvin Bliss. From there, I would bring in Ultramagnetic's 'Ego Trippin' - but I wouldn't just bring it in by beat blending alone, no my dear friends...I would begin to work into a live dub mix, by juggling between it and 'Synthetic Substitution'...

From there - sorry, I'm covering my hand on this one!

I don't plan out mixes...


When I plan for a party, I don't work on a set - I fill my crate with party rockers and freestyle on the tables. I gotta go with SOS on this one...we need to somehow upload some actual mixes and battle it out that way.


I mean, would you rather read an MC's lyrics or hear him spit?
Same principal applies...

I'm not asking you guys to "PLAN" out a mix . I just wanna know after you get your crate loaded and up on your set what you would flow with..You atarted up in the other post but you didn't finish, I wanna know how you would keep the flow going.. I KNOW i'm not the ONLY one that can get a beat from a song in his head and then get a beat from another song to mix it up with and so on and so on.. so quit stalling and gimme a 10 cut mix.. I'm not saying that you GOTTA swing it that way, I just wanna see what you got upstairs.. if you ain't got any more excuses.

Let's do it! I'll set up an FTP account right now! We can post the mixes on the site, and people can vote and comment on them!! We should probably keep each mix around 30 minutes tho.. What do you guys think

nah bro... I have the FTP server set up NOW for you guys to submit mixes.. It's a done deal.. I'll be updating the DJ Rules on that post this week! And I'll include instructions on uploading the mixes... So it's not down the road.. It's just a quick walk across the street. so I'm saving my list(s) for the turntables.


Time to blow the dust of those bad boys, shake the rust of the steel, and get spinnin again. I got stuff on wax that I haven't even ripped to MP3 yet.. so watchout!

aight Dude, let's get it going.. I've been kinda busy lately and haven't even thought about getting it together, so you guys might have give chuckie a minute.. Aight.. do your thing though..

Oh, By the way, Who is judging this thing? what makes them the judge? I hope whoever the judge is, he/she has submitted a sample to be judged or at least has the skillz(dj) to know what their listening to. Plus Are we gonna be able to check each other's mix joint out when they submit it.. That's the way I wanted it to begin with. I want each one of us to be able to check out the other guys getdown...Do we have that capability once it's submitted? holla at me..I need to know these things. I also think i should be a judge sine it was my idea to get it started.. Holla at ya man!! UnEq

Let's say there are 3 mixes submitted... All 3 will be listed in a new post on the message board (in the battle forum), and in that post, there will be a place where the listener can vote as to which one's their favorite.. This isn't big enough for judges yet.. Who's going to be the judges? The same ones submitting the mixes? lol  Maybe one day down the road we'll get to that :)

Nah.. that would be fair would it? then you'd get the upper hand :)   When you log into the FTP folder, you'll be able to see the other mixes that were submitted, and you can submit your own as well.. But you won't have permission to download, delete, or change any files. that are in that folder.


I still need to buy a new freakin mixer.. Maybe I'll do that this weekend

I was making changes to that post the other day and I messed it up.. and I didn't have time to fix the HTML mess.. So the post is still there, it's just hidden from public. as soon as I have time, I'll put it back up.
