Let me ask another question: How many Human Beat boxes were there and who was considered the best? Now i'm not talking about your homie that could get down, I'm talking about the ones that made it to vinyl or cd...that's big time...ie...Doug E Fresh, etc..

Doug e. fresh is generally considered the best.

There was this guy on T-La Rocks album that was pretty dope, but I can't remember who he was. Man, I wish I still had that album....

That was Greg Nice.

As far as other beatboxes, one of my favorites has always been Jockbox of Skinny Boys...

Seriously, though...

Their first LP, "Weightless" is that late 80's, indy, do-it-yourself hip-hop...
That straight up gritty rawness that I miss in hiphop.

Skinny boys were tight.. I gotta agree there...

But I think DouG E was the best... And the runner up would be the Biz

I'll cosign with ya on that...

UnEq, have you seen the Eastern Motors TV commercial with Biz in it?
It was funny the first two or three million times I saw it - now it just bugs the living crap outta me.

I agree, Buffy always did his thing (he had a style that was unmistakeable...you would never have to ask, "Who is that?") but it was like he became the negative caricature of beatboxing...you know, the deal when somebody would diss hiphop and start spittin in their hands going 'HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW'

My favorite Fat Boys jam is "Can you feel it". It was the last joint before they just went overboard....Listen to buffy beatbox during the hooks-Dope.

Speaking of the Fat Boys-Does anybody remember that show "New York city hot tracks?" Remember, it was a video show, but every week they would have some (at the time) unknown rapper/group on? Man, I remember the time that they had the "disco 3" on, and buffy was beatboxing-It blew my mind, and it was all that anybody talked about for WEEKS at school.....
