O.K.,

 1. What do The Sylvers have to do with gansta rap?

 2. What does Betty Wright have to do with hip-hop? (one rap, one song)

  3. You know that classic, whiny synth-line style that was so popular in most early west coast gangsta rap? Name the ORIGINAL song that it came from. Name the group...

HA!

1) Foster Sylvers is the kid who did 'Misdemeanor'...the song sampled by Dre for DOC's 'Funky Enough'.

2) Betty Wright did 'Tonight Is The Night'...the song sampled by DJ Quik for 'Tonight'

3) I think you're referring to 'Funky Worm' by the Ohio Players.

AHHH, tdawg, your kung fu is very good......

However, betty Wright was also sampled in a "song". Name it.....

Also, what does the rock group "In living color" have to do with hip-hop?

Better yet, what can the movie "wild style " possibly have to do with the world's famous supreme team?

Hmmmmmm?

1) Hmmm...the only other cut I can think of that sampled Betty Wright from the West Coast was Candyman's, 'Knockin Boots'.

2) Living Colour and hiphop...
Vernon Reid played guitar on PE's 'Sophisticated Bitch' (who said all the hours of reading LP jackets and liner notes would never pay off?! )

3) Ya got me on that one...................................................................

Although "knockin boots" is a good try, it is a rap...I'm talking about a song...

The vernon thing is good as well, however, it is not the answer.

HA! HA!
