I got one for ya....

What was the first party you ever did and how did it go? This is for the dj's in the group. But to make it more open, what moved you at the first party you ever went to? What moved the crowd? what jam? Oh, and for those who remember, block parties are included...

The first party I ever did was a house party. It was at my friends house, and the thing that I remember most was that it started outside (a bbq jam), and it was so hot that while I was spinning a record (Mirda Rock to be exact) the record actually warped!

Later that night, I made the rookie mistake of playing "Not Just Knee Deep" (anybody from L.A. know what I mean?) Anyway, in L.A., that song is gaurenteed to cause the 'bangers to 'turn the party out'.

That was a bum deal, because Not just Knee deep would have given you time to make groceries on the east coast at a party back in the day.. That's the jam you threw on when you wanted to step to the bathroom or go get your holla on. because you KNEW it was long but it was a sure crowd mover, even to this day. I get down on the Knee deep.. Funkadelic was my group back then. One Nation was all me...So I'm sorry it turned out like it did for ya...My rookie mistake was blending in a slow joint when the party was hyped up...big mistake when you got them going.....I didn't even give any warning either..so you know i caught riff for that..
