Songs like Rappin' Duke don't count; It has to be a song that the artist took seriously.

Tone Loc, I completely understand... Shante - I can see where you're coming from there too... but Ice Cube's No Vaseline? Seriously? Damn.. It's not one of my favorite tracks from Cube, but he ripped NWA a new ass in that one lol

I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH RICHDOG CANNOT MESS WITH THE VASELINE... he stomped their ass without a doubt...you can mix those lyrics with e.t. revenge ...or yellow magic orchestra's computer games and it would still be a classic...


anyway that epmd its time to party....for that type of house tune...it was legit... it wouldnt even consider it a rap track... remember those boys were trying to show their lyrical talent under different types of music... not like the ILL KILL YA/I SELL DOPE/I LOVE A MUTT artist of today
