This is inspired by the hip-hop confessional; What singles/albums have you ever 'accidently' stumbled across, that you can't believe wound up being so good? How did you find them? 1. One day I was at tower records on Rodeo RD. & La Cienega (holla, Grits) when I saw this album..For some reason, I thoght that the group was gonna be like the black version of the Beastie Boys, so I bought it. The album? Yo! Bum Rush The Show by Public Enemy. This is one of my all time favorites. Ironically, the other album that I bought, the one that I went down there for in the first place, belongs in the hip-hop confessional....That album? Red Alert Goes Bezerk. __________________

the only album that caught me by surprise was the worlds greatest entertainer doug e fresh... im getting ready...i still play that till this day... its a solid album and i think his best hands down... __________________ you can put your face in some dough and make some gorilla cookies - fred sanford

One day I was in Waxi Maxi's, looking for something I didn't have, and I saw an album cover that caught my eye in the New Releases section. It was called Jungle Brothers / Straight out the Jungle. Man.... I couldn't stop pumping it... All my friends had to run out and buy it too. And till this day, I got a copy of it in my truck that I play from time to time.

It was just an album by a group that I never heard of, and BOOM - instantly one of my all time favs!!!
