Don't get me wrong, I dig on what most people call "old school", but just to get it straight, TRUE OLD SCHOOL is anything BEFORE RUN-DMC. ("I'ts all brand new, never ever old school"..) RUN-DMC broke the tradition of wearing "costumes" and having 4-5 rappers. They also brought in "big beats". They recorded the first rap remake (triple old school bonus points for anybody that can name the song, and the original artist.) They changed rap forever with their first album (still the greatest of all time) Time does not allow me to expand on how crazy fresh and groundbreaking that album was....Forget about Raising Hell, the first album was by far better. It's just like Micheal Jackson and Thriller. Sure, it was a good album, and sold like hotcakes, but Off the wall was WAY better.
