Yesterday at the opening day of the Taste of Chicago, LL Cool J blessed us with his presence. L-Boogie (Lauryn Hill) was SUPPOSED to be the act, but for whatever reasons she cancelled. And we were NOT mad. LL was one HELLUVA replacement.
He did a bunch of classics (Rock the Bells, I'm Bad, Radio) and he did some of his new stuff, too. But aside from his handsomeness, I also noticed that he can outperform MANY of these so called 'rappers' from the new school. He did an amazing job, and his performance confirmed for me that I old school hip hop is the SHIZNIT!!!

LL will always perform quality rap. The division between old and new school artists is massive.
Them old schoool homies had to work for their money and fame. They had to prove their worth in the world of music. These days you just neeed a rap, gold chain and a big hype system behind you.
