Yo, some of these topic are getting korny,Old School wasn't just about hip hop, true hip hop played a big role in our lives. How about us when we were tring to mack the ladies at house parties, chilin with ours home boys, stealin bikes, things like that is what made us diffrent from this crazzy New School stuff;let's feed on that for awhile.
Rich, I think you missed us when we were hittin all the other oldschool stuff, like games we played, toons we watched, foods we ate and all that. But i'm with you, i think we should take it back to the oldschool.. like the Penny Store that we had in our hood where you could get the hookup for a quarter.. Man, when a little money meant ALOT of Junk.. Those where the days.. a Bag of Ginger Snaps and a Yahoo.......It didn't get any better than that..Sorry, I had to flash back for a minute...
I didn't really do alot of mackin, I was too busy getting my Spin on.. If the party was on, that was all the mack i needed..don't hate fellas.

well let me add to this idea...
how about we talk about if a song actually gave us a partial or a real lesson about life...for instance how what conscious song gave you energy to do something you thought you couldnt do or gave you confidence that you can be a part of society...
me for instance "the racist" by bdp gets me focused on how i should interact with other people in society...to keep my mind aware of things around me during the day... helps me to know whos friend of foe here at work as well (unconscious racist, or brought up racist)... teaches me to conserve my savings as well... (money racist where he says... "Number four is the money racist The one that used the topics of sheer economics They say, "Owning a business isn't for the black man He don't want that", yet they went and took his land")
