I was watching this reality show the other day with this little kid acting wild and the mother and father just told him he had to take a time out..and ofcourse he didn't listen.. just kept on acting crazy around the house. even had the nerve to swing on the mother.. this is a little caucasian kid, could be no more than 8, or 9. So I just got to thinking as It popped in my head.. Hot wheels track, or switch.. when I acted up as a child I got both(whichever was closest )... but it did help me decide whether the crime was worth the punishment. I am not saying go out and beat the hell out of your kids.. although some may deserve it. But it's sickening to see kids act like this and the parents do nothing...just drives me crazy...May I add... when I was young for Christmas I stopped asking for the Hot wheels and sizzlers sets, just asked for the cars..."no tracks"... .. so you tell me... Hot wheels tracks, or switch? don't be afraid to tell... those days are over for us....
My mother never wasted anytime looking for something to beat me with. If I pissed her off, whatever was in her hand - or close by - was going upside my butt. I remember one time, she was scrubbing the tires on the Torino with a wire brush and I said something that set her off...next thing I know, I had little bleeding dots all in my leg. Moms was quick...
My grandmother was another story. She lived in the country and had a switch tree in the back. She was the one that would make you go cut your own switch if you acted up. I thought I'd be cute one day when she told me to go get a switch - I went outside to the tree and kept going...I didn't go back in until it was dinner time. By the time I got in the house, I got beat double cuz I took off AND I made her go cut the switch...
I'm gonna get all you dudes with this one, My grandad Had one of those Barber Straps that they used to sharpen the razors with.. But my Moms rocked a double brown leather belt that was connected together and she would wrap it around her hand at least three times in case you wanted to grab the belt, you were NEVER gonna get that belt loose, you were just gonna take that A.. wippin and be done with it...OLDSCHOOL for life!!

My mom used to buckle the belt, and grab it on both sides, then shewould pull it together real quick, and I could hear it popping as she came towards my room..
