Simply the best. They revolutionized rap music, hell, they revolutionized music, period.


two, mics, two turntables, and it was on...No one could touch them. No one ever tried. They fused rock and rap, and crossed over without selling out. They rocked big beats at a time when rappers generally took a popular club jam and rapped over it. They were the first to get played on MTV......

To me Public Enemy is the greatest group.


They encouraged me to look into my history, read more books and take an interest in politics. PE had a positive influence over a generation.


It's sad to say, but I don't think that there will never be another group as influencial as PE.

We didn't care about politics and all that back then, we just wanted to party. that's why we have to say Run DMC. i'm down with PE too but not like that..when I wanted to stand up be counted they were my gruop, but to get my party on..Run and them were it..

I'll break it down like this:


1) I was a BIG Run DMC fan when they first came out in the early 80's. Same reasons as already mentioned


2) Around 87, PE made me turn my head and say, "woah... what was that?!?!?!" From that point on, PE was my all time fav...


3) Then the Native Tongues took it from there for me.. mainly Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest (for this post, I have to count them all as one group )... to this day I STILL frequently pump Straight out the Jungle, De La Soul is Dead, and Midnight Marauders -- 3 of my all time favorite albums from each


But just to pick one from the above, for me, is impossible

Let me help you Pick, Run DMC because that's where it all started, and you must not foget your roots...You know Run DMC can rock a party anyday andy time....

just think about all the throw down each group had and that should help you out. you'd have to combine all of the native tongues to get 1 Run DMC joint..They can run with them one on one..you KNOW that..Come on man!!

Where's S.O.S when I need him? LOL

OUTKAST - TAKING ORIGINALITY TO ITS LIMIT WITH LYRICIST ANDRE 3000 ....
STILL TRIPPING ON THE ART OF STORYTELLING AND GROWING OLD...

JUST LIKE THAT...


PS OUTKAST COMING OUT WITH ANOTHER ALBUM IN LATE AUG EARLY SEPT HEARD FIRST SINGLE... WHEWWWWW THIS MIGHT BE THE LAST ALBUM TOGETHER...
