I'd have to say the Kane ubtil he got caught up and I saw him in a food lion in Raleigh NC with 2 icehouses in his hand. He had a house there when i was living there. But I think he's the man in my book. I also have to give mad props to Will Smith, because of the longevity and the fact that he can flow without cursing and still hold his own..But i'm suer there are more out therr that i'm missing but those two come to mind first..

LL Cool J is hard as hell, battle ANYBODY, I don't care whoy tell, I excell, they all fail......
How many albums does he have to make? How many battles must he win? His flow, his energy, his lyrical versatility make him stand head and shoulders above the rest.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm glad nobody is at work but me because, for some reason, that line hit me funny as hell!
Also, I feel ya on the whole Will Prince/Fresh Smith deal - I've always thought he was very underappreciated as an MC. I mean, that cat could tell a GREAT story without repeating himself or cursing.
there are so many different rappers with many different styles. I can't really say just one... But of course you know I have to include LL because of his longevity, MOS DEF for his lyrical messages, Will Smith, yup I said it Will frik'n Smith because he is one of "few" "rappers" that can make a song you can listen to and not have to "bleep" it out on the radio..Biggie, Tupac, "King Asiac Nobody's Equal"...and all the old skool rappers who got burned by their record companies and still made "hit" records... they are the greatest of all time in my opinion... they made hits for minimum wage, and still today I'd rather listen to them....no hoes, no bling, no Pall Wall mak'n everybody grills, no spinners, no mansions... just real Hip Hop...and most videos were made right in the "Hood"....
