...and, no, I don't think the name applies to the person who chose to honor himself with that particular title. I mean, LL has the greatest number of LP's, but he's far from the greatest lyricist - not saying he sucks...just not the GOAT.

I Don't think that you can really define greatest, or best, but if I HAD to give it to one guy, it would have to be LL.; I mean, he has longevity, versatility, lyricacacity(my word) he will battle ANYBODY (I don't care who you tell)


I think I have to break it down like this:


1. Style-Rakim


2. Battle skills-LL


3. Lyrical imagery -Biggie


4. Flow-Treach(yup)


5. Creativity-Big Daddy Kane


6. Edutainment-KRS


7. Expression-Tupac

I agree with this list but i think its a throw up on #2 between icecube and ll cool j
and that #6 should be in the rock and roll hall of fame one day...without a doubt!

lets add to the list how about the most animated mc of all time...
and the most innovative rap group of all time...
